4×8 Chicken Coop with Run – DIY Project

Time invested: about 4 weekends
Cost: about $1500 (wood and other construction materials are super expensive these days).
Notes: I added a deck block foundation, with the bottom floor on top of the 2×4 frame. I also put extra diagonal bracing. The chicks have moved in and seem to enjoy the place! The ramp as specified in the plans appear a bit slippery for the hens. I would recommend reducing the spacing between the steps (currently 6 inches).
