This step by step woodworking project is about cornhole game plans free. When buying the lumber, you should select the planks with great care, making sure they are straight and without any visible flaws (cracks, knots, twists, decay). Use a spirit level to plumb and align the components, before inserting the galvanized screws, otherwise the wooden cabinet won’t have a symmetrical look. • A – 2 pieces of 2×4 lumber – 48″ long, 2 pieces – 21″ long FRAME
• B – 1 pieces of 3/4″ plywood – 24″x48″ long SHEET
• C – 2 pieces of 2×4 lumber – 12″ long LEGS
• D – 1 piece of 2×4 lumber – 18″ long DOOR

• 1 piece of 3/4″ plywood – 2’x4′

Building a cornhole game board

Building the frame of the cornhole

The first step of the woodworking project is to assemble the frame of the cornhole game. In order to get a professional result, we recommend you to drill pocket holes at both ends of the short components and to insert 2 1/2 screws into the perpendicular slats. Add glue to the joints and make sure the corners are square.

Attaching the top

Build the top of the cornhole game out of 3/4″ plywood. Cut out a 6″ hole into the sheet and smooth the edges with fine-grit sandpaper. Use brad nails and waterproof glue to secure the component to the frame.

Building the legs

Use 2×4 lumber to build the two legs for the cornhole board. Round the top of the legs with a jigsaw and drill a pilot hole for a 3 1/2″ carriage bolt. Cut the bottom at 75 degrees (make 15 degree cuts).

Assembling the legs

Drill pocket holes at both ends of the horizontal support and secure it to the legs using 2 1/2″ screws. Make sure the corners are right-angled and add glue to the joints.

Assembling the cornhole game

Fit the legs to the game board and insert 3 1/2″ carriage bolts. Add washers on both sides of the bolts and tighten the nuts. Make sure the legs flips easily.

Cornhole game plans

One of the last steps of the woodworking project is to take care of the finishing touches. Therefore, fill the pilot holes with wood putty and smooth the surface with 120-grit sandpaper.
