This step by step diy project is about 8×8 lean to shed shed plans. This square shed provides significant storage space and the front double doors will provide an easy access to the interior. When buying the lumber, you should select the planks with great care, making sure they are straight and without any visible flaws (cracks, knots, twists, decay). Investing in cedar or other weather resistant lumber is a good idea, as it will pay off on the long run. Use a spirit level to plumb and align the components, before inserting the galvanized screws, otherwise the project won’t have a symmetrical look. How to build a 8×8 lean to shed
First of all, you need to build the floor frame for the 8×8 shed. Cut the joists from 2×6 lumber. Lay the joists on a level surface and drill pilot holes through the rim joists. Place the joists every 16″ on center and then insert 3 1/2″ screws to lock them together tightly. Measure the diagonals and make adjustments till they are equal.
Choose the location for the 8×8 lean to shed. Level the surface and then compact a layer of gravel. Use 4×4 lumber for the skids. Align the edges flush and toenail the frame to the skids.
Use 3/4″ plywood for the shed floor. Fit the sheets to floor frame and then secure them into place. Align the edges flush, drill pilot holes and insert 1 5/8″ screws, every 8″ along the joists. Leave no gaps between the sheets for a professional result.
Build the side walls for the shed from 2×4 lumber. Drill pilot holes through the plates and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the studs. Place the studs every 24″ on center, for a professional result. Align the edges flush and make sure the corners are square.
The next step of the project is to build the back wall of the shed. Cut the components from 2×4 lumber, after taking accurate measurements. Drill pilot holes through the plates and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the studs. Place the studs every 24″ on center, for a professional result. Make sure the corners are square and align the edges flush.
Frame the front wall using the information from the diagram. Cut the components from 2×4 lumber at the dimensions shown in the plans. Drill pilot holes through the plates and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the studs. Use 2×6 lumber for the double header and fit 1/2″ plywood between the beams. Drill pilot holes and insert 2 1/2″ screws to assemble the double header.
Fit the wall frames to the floor of the shed. Align the edges flush and plumb the walls with attention. Drill pilot holes through the bottom plates and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the floor. Moreover, you need to lock the adjacent walls together tightly with screws.
Use T1-11 siding for the exterior walls of the shed. Make cuts to the sheets so you can fit them into place. Align the edges with attention and then insert 6-8d nails, so you can lock the sheets into place tightly.
Attach the siding to the back of the shed, in the same manner described above.
You need to take a look over PART 2 of the project, so you see how to frame the roof for the shed. The lean to shed roof will drain the water properly and the double doors will provide you an easy access to the interior.

Heads up, the front wall double header should be cut at 75″, not the 63″ listed.

If the roof is 96″ wide before you tack on the 2×6’s, how is it 100 1/4 after? Wouldn’t the roof then be 99″ wide? 96″+1.5″+1.5″= 99″
How about the thickness of the siding sheets?

I only see 4 pieces of T1-11 listed, for each side wall (2 each, 4 total) and the rear wall (2). That is 6 total not including the front wall and door. Yes?
