 Tiered Garden Planter Boxes Plans
The first step of the project is to build the sides for the planter boxes. Use 2×2 lumber for the legs and 2×6 lumber for the end panels. Cut the 2×6 slats at 5 1/2″ and then smooth the edges with sandpaper. Add glue to the joints and align the edges with attention. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the slats and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the legs. Align the edges flush.
The next step of the project is to fit the front and back slats so you can create the three planters. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the slats and then insert 2 1/2″ screws to lock them to the legs. Make sure the corners are square and add glue to the joints.
Last but not least, you need to cut the bottom slats at 16″ and smooth the edges with sandpaper. Drill pocket holes along the edges and then insert 2 1/2″ screws to lock the slats to the frame.
Fit the soil into the planters and then proceed with the flowers. Smooth the edges with sandpaper and use a router to round over the edges.
This is a simple woodworking project, so any person with basic diy skills can get the job done in a few hours. If you like my project, I recommend you to take a look over the rest of my woodworking plans HERE. Choose from thousands of free designs and fill your life with DIY joy!

On these planter boxes do they have a way for water to drain
Yes, you drill several holes through the bottom slats.
