This step by step diy project is about rustic entryway table plans plans. If you want to enhance the look of your entryway with a rustic project that anyone can build in a few hours, you should take a look over this design. This table is easy to build and has a really nice appearance. Take a look over the rest of my woodworking plans, if you want to get more building inspiration.
When buying the lumber, you should select the planks with great care, making sure they are straight and without any visible flaws (cracks, knots, twists, decay). Investing in cedar or other weather resistant lumber is a good idea, as it will pay off on the long run. Use a spirit level to plumb and align the components, before inserting the galvanized screws, otherwise the project won’t have a symmetrical look. If you have all the materials and tools required for the project, you could get the job done in about a day. See all my Premium Plans HERE.

Building an entryway table
The first step of the project is to build the frame of the table. Cut the components from 2×12 lumber. Drill pocket holes at one end of the vertical components and secure them to the tabletop with 2 1/2″ screws. Check if the corners are square and align the edges flush for a professional result.
Next, you need to build the x-braces from 2×8 lumber. Cut both ends of the braces, as shown in the diagram. Smooth the cut edges and drill pocket holes, as in the diagram.
Fit the braces to the front and back of the entryway table. Align the edges flush and insert 2 1/2″ screws to lock everything tightly.
Fit the brace to the opposite side of the table, as shown in the plans. Insert 2 1/2″ screws to lock the braces into place.
This is a simple project you should be able to build in a few days without much effort. Fill the holes with plugs and with wood putty. Smooth the surface with 120-220 grit sandpaper and apply a few coats of stain to enhance the look of the entryway table.
