DIY Project – 4×8 cord Wood Shed

From Tim Lewis,

We used treated lumber for the entire shed. Total costs were about $700 Canadian, and plans were simple to follow. Instead of putting the concrete blocks at the corners we opted to place that at the intersection of floor joists as we thought putting them at the corners with just the 2×4’s inside that extend beyond the floor there would be all the weight transferred onto all of the lag bolts instead of through the floor itself. We opted to switch the pitch of this roof as it was not next to any building. Being this was only a 4 x 8 shed, we also opted to cut down on costs by using 3/8 plywood for the roof.
