Building a wooden viking chair

Building the backrest

The first step of the project is to build the backrest for the viking chair. Mark the cut lines on the 2×12 slats and get the job done with a saw. Make sure you round the exposed corners for an extra appeal. Smooth the edges with fine-grit sandpaper and remove the residues with a damp cloth.

Drill starting holes and use a jigsaw to cut out the opening. Smooth the edges with sandpaper.

Building the seat of the chair

Next, you need to build the seat for the viking chair. Mark the cut lines on the 2×12 board and get the job done with a saw. Smooth the edges with sandpaper and round the corners with a jigsaw.
