Building a workout bench
First of all, you need to build the front and back faces for the bench, using 2×6 slats. Make sure you make notches to the side slats, as shown in the plans. Smooth the cut edges with fine grit sandpaper.
Attach a 2×6 brace to the vertical slats, as shown in the plans. Align the edges with attention, drill pilot holes through the brace and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the vertical slats.
Fit 2×6 beams to the sides of the workout bench, as shown in the plans. Make sure the corners are square and align the edges with attention. Drill pilot holes through the slats and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the faces.
Continue the project by attaching the 2×6 seat slats to the frame. Leave no gaps between the slats and make sure the edges are flush. Drill pilot holes through the slats and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the frame.
Build the bar supports from 2×6 lumber. Use a jigsaw to make notches to the top of the supports.
Attach the supports to the weight bench, as shown in the plans. Use a spirit level to plumb the supports and leave no gaps between the components. Make sure the corners are square for a professional result.
Fit a 1×6 support to the top of the vertical components. Drill pilot holes through the support and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the vertical beams.
Make sure the components are locked together tightly and leave no gaps between the components.
One of the last steps of the woodworking project is to take care of the finishing touches. Therefore, fill the pilot holes with wood putty and smooth the surface with 120-150 grit sandpaper.
Top Tip: If you want to enhance the look of the woodworking project and to protect the workout table from decay, we recommend you to cover the components with paint or stain.

Thank you very much for the easy and productive instructions and video helping the subscribers make something new and innovative. One thing I want to ask about the size of each piece (A, B, C, D, E and F) of the Weight Bench in centimetre, please.
