Building the top pallet

Building the top pallet

The first step of the woodworking project is to build the pallets for the coffee table project. In order to get a professional result, we strongly recommend you to select the pallets with great care and to select the ones that are in a good condition.

In order to build the top pallet for the coffee table, we recommend you to remove the brown slats. Make sure you remove the slats with attention without damaging the rest of the pallet.

Assembling the coffee table

Assembling the coffee table

Continue the project by assembling the two pallets together. In order to get a professional result, we recommend you to drill pocket holes  through the supports of the top table and to insert 2 1/2″ screws into the bottom pallet.

Make sure you align the components with attention and leave no gaps between the components before inserting the screws. Add glue to enhance the bond of the joints.

Fitting the caster wheels

One of the last steps of the woodworking project is to take care of the finishing touches. Therefore, fill the pilot holes with wood putty and smooth the surface with 120-grit sandpaper.

Top Tip: In order to protect the lumber from water damage, we recommend you to cover the components with several coats of paint. Place the coffee table in a proper location and move it whenever necessary.
