DIY Project – Outdoor Potting Bench
Â
From Andrea,
I loved that the outdoor potting bench plans were simple enough but also easily modifiable. I started with those plans and some of the modifications others had made. I wanted it to be slightly skinnier to fit between a wall and a raised bed, and I also spaced the top slats so soil could fall between them since the bench would be sitting on mulch already.
The two flat frames were made with pocket screws, which I then filled with 3/8″ dowels and wood filler, the rest were countersunk screws covered over with wood filler and sanded smooth. Added some outdoor primer/sealer and outdoor paint and voila! Total time was about a month from start to finish, working on Saturdays and a few evenings, total cost was ~$100 with the wood and the primer and paint.
