I used a 2″ top slat and 2×4’s for the back rest. I also made the back legs for the 2×4 bench, 1.5″ shorter.

    It does say how to connect the back seat slates to the top? How should this be done? Thanks

      It shows in the tutorial. You need to use pocket holes and screws.
