DIY 20×20 Pavilion

From Gary Gentry,

My first ever project.  My first cut saw.  So I set the saw on first cut at 60 degrees. Just didn’t look right.  So I finally figured out that 60 means 30 …DIY people like me need the simplest instructions.  Followed your plans pretty much.  Very nice!   One day for concrete.  2 days for framing.  One day for top beam and rafters, sheeting.  Plan to put shingles on tomorrow.  Around 3000 in materials.  $800 for hired hands to help…really needed one young guy yesterday to help me.  (I’m almost 59).  We used a laser level to set the concrete pillars.  I’m off a little.  But overall square within 3/4 inch.   I’m exhausted but glad we did it.  We did it for our non-profit called Hope House Detroit…an abandoned lot comes back to life!
