8’x12′ Storage Shed and 6’x12′ Firewood Shed – DIY Project

We had two projects that needed to be done so we combined them into one. The work was delayed twice by hospital stays so there is no accurate timeline. The cost was about $3500 CAN. We bought the plywood and most of the lumber on sale at a rural hardware store that was closing.
The T-11 would have cost me over $1200 so we decided on siding seconds for 1/2 the price. We still have a bit of siding to install. The end wall of the firewood shed is a removable panel making it easier to fill and I added to the height so the peak would fit under the eave of the saltbox shed.
The whole thing was built on piers to take advantage of the wind for drying and to have storage underneath, (framing and brackets yet to be added). Three cords are already in with three more waiting for the weekend. Looking forward to the spring; 12’x24′ garden shed, 10’x16′ greenhouse and chicken tractor with a run being added to the yard. Many of the parts will be built at my son’s over the winter as he has a Quonset shed.
