16×24 Lean to Pavilion – DIY Project

From Gale McCreary,

What started as a “lean to” we now call the Horse Palace. This was built with heartcon redwood on 6’ concrete blocks and a gravel base covered with rubber mats. The joinery and scale of the beams give the structure a classic elegance, and the feeling that these “bones” could be enhanced into a beautiful living structure. We are sure to have dry comfortable horses when the rain starts!

This took two weeks with one carpenter and his helper to build. We were short one 6x6x14 from the materials list, and did not use rafter hangers, but everything else in your plan was perfect. Thank you!!
