How-to-build-a-rocking-chair

From Ted Okolichany,

I built your rocking chair. Still have to fill the screw holes and round the rockers so it rocks better. One thing I modified was the arms by adding an additional 3 x 1 to make them wider. For the arm rest, I used what was left over from the 1 x 6 from cutting the rockers. Good sturdy and nice looking chair. I hope I can get it to rock a little better by rounding the edges. Thanks!

I made the rocking chair, had to extend the back to five boards because it hurt my back at the top board. also got to round off the rockers more…got a couple flat spots there. First one so got “several holes to hide”. Will send a picture when I get a camera phone to do so. I am a retired truck driver and I “piddle” a lot and enjoy trying to make stuff. thanks for sharing the plans.
