From Luke Cioffi,

I used free pallet wood for the majority of the project! This left me with different species of wood to piece together. Some of the slats were naturally curved which made this a bit more interesting! The only purchased wood was the pressured treated 2×4’s for the frame of the swing and the swing stand.

Total cost of lumber and hardware for both projects was about $175.00 I did have to rip and plane the pallet wood for the slats on top of the frame. I made the swing 6 feet long which meant I had to put seat supports in the middle and stagger the slats since I was not using 6ft pallets. I did use a Kreg pocket hole jig to create the frame joints. Lots of holes to fill, sanding and 3 coats of spar urethane! I estimate I spent about 28-35 hours on this project. Fun project! Your plans were an awesome inspiration.
