We started with the plans from your page and made some adjustments based on the wood we had in the garage.  My 17 year old daughter helped with this project. We used purple heart wood in this chair because a friend of mine gave me some scraps from his work.  The purple wood was not stained.  We only used polyurethane to finish the wood.  The bench only cost us $50 including paint because we used wood I had in the garage.

Wow… Your project really looks nice. I like the modifications you made to the initial plans. I must also say that the color scheme is beautiful and the purple wood is a nice touch!
