I used 2×4 ripped to 2 1/2 instead of 4×4.  I also used 1×6 instead of 1×8 for the supports. I added a planter, the inside of the planter is 4′ wide. I made the planter to fit two plastic tubs. I’ve stained it since these pictures were taken.  Tip: Stain the pieces before assembly, it would be a lot easier.  Thanks for publishing these plans on the internet.
