DIY 14×14 Outdoor Pavilion

The plans for a 14X14 Pavilion were just what we were wanted for an outdoor meeting area at our mountain vacation home. We followed the plans closely with only a few minor changes. For the rafters, we butted these up to the ridge 6×6 as this seemed to us to be stronger than as noted in the plans. Additionally, we added some 45 degree diagonals in the front and back for added strength and for better looks.
Lumber was $1500 for the project. The Champion SnapLok roofing was an additional $1000 and really added a lot of beauty to the finished project.
