From Patty, 

Used rough sawn red cedar from local sawmill here in Oklahoma. Every board milled to dimension with jointer, planer, and table saw which was the most time consuming part of project. Sealed with a Natural Rosewood Oil to protect against the elements. Assembly was pretty simple following the plans as written.
