1 – box of #8 T25 screws 1 5/8″ long @ $6
1 – regular rope 50′ @ $9
1 – galvanized pail from Behrens Mfg. Winona , MN @ $7
1- 1 1/4″ x 48″ poplar dowel @ $3

Total project cost = $122.35

Total time required to build = 6 hrs

Tools required –
Power miter saw
Drill
Pencil
Level
Tape measure
T25 driver bit for drill
Small drill bit for pilot holes

1 1/2″ hole saw drill bit for dowel
Cut list
Planter – 8 @ 24″ -vertical corner pieces
                24 @  24″ – horizontal side pieces, 6 on each side
                2 @ 29 1/4″ – (front and back) ledge pieces
                2 @ 24″ – (left and right) ledge pieces
Roof – 2 @ 5′ (left and right) vertical roof supports – cut at 45
Degree point on top so it’s an even point on top.
            2 @ 27 3/4″ – cut both ends at 45 degrees – end supports
            4 @ 17″ – cut both ends at 45 degrees – upper ends
            12 @ 32″ – 6 for front & 6 for rear horizontal roof pieces
            2 @ 32″ – for roof peak cover piece
Dowel 1 @ 32″
*Drill pilot holes before every screw is set to avoid cracking.
* Use 4 scrap triangle pieces to support underside of middle of the ledge in the planter. 2 screws  need for each support piece.
*We screwed the dowel in place rather than have it be able to turn and raise or lower the bucket.
*Screw as many screws in from the inside, by drilling pilot holes that can’t go all the way thru to the exterior and using the 1 5/8″ torx screws. You can hide the majority of the screws with some foresight and planning.
