DIY 20×20 Pavilion
From Gary Gentry,Â
My first ever project. Â My first cut saw. Â So I set the saw on first cut at 60 degrees. Just didn’t look right. Â So I finally figured out that 60 means 30 …DIY people like me need the simplest instructions. Â Followed your plans pretty much. Â Very nice! Â One day for concrete. Â 2 days for framing. Â One day for top beam and rafters, sheeting. Â Plan to put shingles on tomorrow. Â Around 3000 in materials. Â $800 for hired hands to help…really needed one young guy yesterday to help me. Â (I’m almost 59). Â We used a laser level to set the concrete pillars. Â I’m off a little. Â But overall square within 3/4 inch. Â I’m exhausted but glad we did it. Â We did it for our non-profit called Hope House Detroit…an abandoned lot comes back to life!
